With Ebola striking in remote areas as well as cities – and lots of myths doing the rounds – getting the facts to people at risk is vital.
Oxfam is in West Africa, using radio broadcasts to tell people about Ebola and how to stop the spread. We’re also putting posters in markets and shops and supporting health volunteers going door-to-door giving families the info they need. Here are just some of the messages we’re getting out there.
The faster we can spread the word, the faster we can help stop the spread of Ebola. Text PROTECT to 70066 to donate £5 and help save lives now.

Ill fares the land, to hastening ills a prey, Where wealth accumulates, and men decay; Princes and lords may flourish, or may fade; A breath can make them, as a breath has made; But a bold peasantry, their country’s pride, When once destroyed, can never be supplied.
